Call for Tutorials (now closed)

It is the goal of ICCS organizers to offer conference attendees a stimulating and informative selection of tutorials reflecting current topics in Computational Science. It is expected that these tutorials will be presented by subject matter experts and will reflect the high academic, research and industrial standards of the ICCS conference.
We invite proposals for tutorials. Tutorials are intended to provide training for a technology or toolkit from the field of Computational Science for an international group of attendees. Each tutorial should cover 3 hours of training sessions. The tutorial organizer will be responsible for advertizing the event and for providing tutorial handouts. All tutorials will be held on Sunday, May 24th.
Typical topics of tutorials would be:
  • MPI
  • OpenMP
  • Performance Analysis and Tuning
  • Distributed and Parallel Programming
  • Computational Libraries
  • Problem Solving Environments
  • Visualization Toolkits
Proposals to organize a tutorial should include the following information:
  • Title of the tutorial,
  • Name, affiliation, mailing address and e-mail address of the proposer(s),
  • A description of the tutorial (not exceeding 100 words) plus a short description how the tutorial will be advertised so to ensure a wide range of attendees.
Deadline for the tutorial proposal is October 15th. Please submit your tutorial proposal through our conference engine as a paper to the "Tutorial Workshop". The notification for acceptance will be sent by October 30th.
