Baton Rouge is the capital of Louisiana, with a metropolitan area population of more than 800,000. It is the home of Louisiana State University (LSU) and located on the Mississippi River, about a one-hour drive northwest of New Orleans. The region is famous for its blues and jazz music scenes, its culinary delights, nightlife and Southern and Cajun heritage.If flying into Baton Rouge:
The Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center offers free shuttle for its guests. Please contact the Hilton to make a reservation. Taxi services will cost approximately $20.00.
If flying into New Orleans:

Other options include taxi and rental car. Without traffic, it is a little more than a one-hour drive from the New Orleans Airport to downtown Baton Rouge. A cab ride should cost on the order of $120. Please confirm with the driver before the trip.
Parking:
Valet parking is available at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center for $15.00 night or $8.00 for the day. There are also many parking lots located downtown for $5.00/day.
Driving directions from the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport: (8 miles)
Take I-110 South to Laurel Street Exit. Head West towards the Mississippi River. Turn left on Lafayette Street. The hotel is located on the right, 2 blocks down.
Driving directions from the New Orleans International Airport: (70 miles)
Directions: Take I-10 West through Baton Rouge and take I-110 North to North Street. Head West towards the Mississippi River. Turn left on Lafayette Street. Go 2 blocks and the hotel is on the right at 201 Lafayette Street.
