Jeffrey Greenwald

Jeffrey Greenwald is the senior director of Product Management and Product Marketing for SGI's server products group. He has responsibility for managing both the server platforms that are being developed for the marketplace, as well as those servers that are currently being sold globally. Jeff leads a team of accomplished marketing experts, product managers, and PhD's who have been focused on solutions development for the HPC marketplace for many years. His team focuses on the SGI® Origin® line of IRIX® OS-based servers as well as the SGI® Altix® line of Linux® OS-based servers. Together, these contribute the largest revenue of any business unit at SGI. Jeff has been marketing servers and storage products for nearly 20 years. He Previously lead the outbound marketing of Sun Micro's V-servers and Linux servers, and also directed the marketing of data center mainframe offerings as Vice President of Marketing Support at Hitachi Data Systems. Before that he was in sales in this same market for IBM in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Princeton, New Jersey. He is married, lives on the San Francisco Peninsula, and is active in volunteering at Ronald McDonald House fund-raising events, adolescent youth bible education, and select University of California business school student mentoring.
